I got my "one week out program" yesterday..it looks like this:
Friday March 11: CARB DEPLETING, SODIUM LOADING STARTS, WATER LOADING STARTS
Wednesday March 16: LAST DAY OF DEPLETING, DIURETICS START
Thursday March 17: CARB UP STARTS, SODIUM DEPLETING STARTS, WATER DEPLETING STARTS
Saturday March 19 : COMPETITION DAY!
I'll get into more details at each stage...for today I carry on with my regular diet, which still includes a 1/2 cup oatmeal first thing in the AM. Speaking with other competitors, I am one of the few that still has this....turns out my love of long distance running has enabled me to keep this carb even while dieting down. Cool!
Coffee is now without milk...I am actually most afraid of this...you know me and my coffee addiction. The word diuretics is less scary for me. All meals for sodium loading must have a pinch of salt on it and I am toting around a 4 litre jug of water today that must be consumed.
My new suit top is supposed to arrive today YAY!
8 days out progress pics...with a new cut and color and lather of body butter to polish me off...voila!
I will try and post daily from here out, keep checking back and commenting, your support keeps my adreline high and my hands out of the carbohydrate jar!
